Players will also be able to control drones. When the player gives the command or when the player shoots their own target, all other Ghosts will simultaneously shoot their targets. The Ghosts will automatically choose a target and move into position to take this target out. Outside of firefights, up to four targets can be marked for a synchronized shot. During firefights, the player can mark one high priority target, on which squad-members should focus fire. Unlike previous Ghost Recon games, the player will not micromanage their squad. Enemies will be able to see the Ghosts when they are close enough. It should also be noted that the optical camo will not function as an invisibility cloak. When the player moves too quickly or fires their weapon, the camo will deactivate. The camo will only stay active as long as the player maintains a low profile. According to the game designer Rafael Morado, the optical camo technology is still a prototype and there are disadvantages. When under fire by an enemy machine gun, the field of vision will decrease, making it harder to return fire.Ī new feature in the series is the "optical camouflage", a form of active camouflage which allows the Ghosts to become harder to see. While in cover, players can be suppressed. Cover can be partially destroyed, forcing the players to constantly seek other hiding spots. The game is a third-person cover-based shooter, except when aiming using sights at which point the game switches to a first-person camera in order to facilitate more precise aiming. During the campaign, the Ghosts will visit places such as Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia and Norway. A dirty bomb has taken out a Ghost team and another Ghost team (consisting of Kozak, Ghost Lead, Pepper and 30k) is tasked with tracking down the source of the dirty bomb using advanced technology. Ghost Recon Future Soldier takes place in the near future. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier BETA starts April 19th!!

She explains that from California to New York, there are still many hidden “tiny beautiful towns” with populations between 5,000 and 1,5000. “We are in one of the hottest markets again, but I’m able to still find incredible deals in these pockets and towns and villages that are the fringe markets to the big metropolitan hot markets.” “I encourage them to work in smaller towns where there’s not a lot of competition and nobody’s looking there,” she said. Today, she encourages clients to serve the lower-end of the first-time homebuyer market. The takeaway from her mistake was to always learn about the neighborhood as much as possible before buying the property. “Once I was into my fifth property, I thought there’s got to be an easier way to be a landlady because these are very difficult tenants that I’m attracting.” “The first mistake I made as a real estate investor is I invested in a very difficult area and I didn’t realize that,” she said. Having been a real estate investor for three decades, Cleveland knows that buying a good property at a discount is the first crucial step to building a million-dollar portfolio. Buying discounted properties in fringe markets Aside from that, she teaches clients how to decide on which houses to buy, how to properly renovate a house on a budget, and how to successfully sell or rent a renovated house for profits. Today, Cleveland owns 80 rental properties, according to property documents viewed by Insider. “I could retire financially free and then do whatever I wanted to do, which was real estate investing again.” “I never thought I would end up with several million dollars worth of real estate that was paid off at 48 years old,” she said. As her real estate journey took off, she became a master house flipper and claimed to have flipped over 400 units. In the sixth year when the mortgage was paid off, I felt like I struck gold.”Ĭleveland, who was 30 years old at the time, owned this property for 18 years and then sold it for $225,000, she said. “In the first five years, I made very little passive income. “I was really tight for money when I first bought it so all I could do was paint and clean,” she said. She financed the down payment of $62,000 with a five-year loan at a 15% interest rate from her previous boss. “But I thought if I can raise a child and I was able to create a business out of my spare bedroom and grow it into a $2 million business, how difficult could it be to own a piece of real estate.”Ĭleveland said she bought her first property - a small mixed-use building that had three apartments and two storefronts - in Rochester, New York. “Everybody advised against real estate investing,” Cleveland recalled in an interview. The Fresnel Effect was first documented by the French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel (1788-1827). Fresnel is a good approximation and is as close to physically correct materials as you can get whilst keeping the rendering times low. If you position yourself to the side of the monitor and look into the glass you will clearly see a reflection of the environment, but if you position yourself directly in front you will notice that the reflection is reduced. A good example of this would be to look at an old CRT monitor, where the viewing panel is glass. Most materials except metals have a Fresnel reflection, making the reflection strong at glancing angles but weak at more front on angles. White reflects the entire visible colour spectrum whereas black absorbs all colour.
Students in small classes also exhibit statistically significant improvements on a summary index of the other outcomes we examine (home ownership, 401(k) savings, mobility rates, percent college graduate in ZIP code, and marital status). We do not find significant differences in earnings at age 27 between students who were in small and large classes, although these earnings impacts are imprecisely estimated. We find that students assigned to small classes are 1.8 percentage points more likely to be enrolled in college at age 20, a significant improvement relative to the mean college attendance rate of 26.4% at age 20 in the sample. We analyze the impacts of class size using the same intent-to-treat specifications as Krueger (1999), who sHoweverd that students in small classes scored higher on standardized tests. First, we study the impacts of observable classroom characteristics. Our analysis of the experimental impacts combines two empirical strategies. These strong correlations motivate the main question of the article: do classroom environments that raise test scores-such as smaller classes and better teachers-cause analogous improvements in adult outcomes? Several other adult outcomes-such as college attendance rates, quality of college attended, home ownership, and 401(k) savings-are also all highly correlated with kindergarten test scores. A 1 percentile increase in end-of-kindergarten (KG) test scores is associated with a $132 increase in wage earnings at age 27 in the raw data, and a $94 increase after controlling for parental characteristics. We begin by documenting the strong correlation between kindergarten test scores and adult outcomes. 1 We use these data to analyze the impacts of STAR on outcomes ranging from college attendance and earnings to retirement savings, home ownership, and marriage. We link the original STAR data to administrative data from tax returns, allowing us to follow 95% of the STAR participants into adulthood. Whether these gains in achievement on standardized tests translate into improvements in adult outcomes such as earnings remains an open question. Numerous studies have used the STAR experiment to show that class size, teacher quality, and peers have significant causal impacts on test scores (see Schanzenbach 2006 for a review). The experiment was implemented across 79 schools in Tennessee from 1985 to 1989. Some students were assigned to small classes (15 students on average) in grades K–3, and others were assigned to large classes (22 students on average). The Student/Teacher Achievement Ratio (STAR) experiment randomly assigned one cohort of 11,571 students and their teachers to different classrooms within their schools in grades K–3. This article analyzes the long-term impacts of Project STAR, one of the most widely studied education experiments in the United States. What are the long-term impacts of early childhood education? Evidence on this important policy question remains scarce because of a lack of data linking childhood education and outcomes in adulthood. Finally, the effects of class quality fade out on test scores in later grades, but gains in noncognitive measures persist. Students who were randomly assigned to higher quality classrooms in grades K–3-as measured by classmates' end-of-class test scores-have higher earnings, college attendance rates, and other outcomes. Third, an analysis of variance reveals significant classroom effects on earnings. Second, students who had a more experienced teacher in kindergarten have higher earnings. Class size does not have a significant effect on earnings at age 27, but this effect is imprecisely estimated. First, students in small classes are significantly more likely to attend college and exhibit improvements on other outcomes. We then document four sets of experimental impacts. We first demonstrate that kindergarten test scores are highly correlated with outcomes such as earnings at age 27, college attendance, home ownership, and retirement savings. This article evaluates the long-term impacts of STAR by linking the experimental data to administrative records. In Project STAR, 11,571 students in Tennessee and their teachers were randomly assigned to classrooms within their schools from kindergarten to third grade. It seems to be a pattern for Kanye in his songwriting process that the flows and emotions and concepts come before any finished lyrics. “Law of Attraction” (also called “Chakras”) is probably the most obvious demo on the album, as similar to the previous track, Kanye mumbles nonsensical lyrics to get his flow down throughout. If the track were finished with a better performance from Kanye, “Alien” could be a highlight track on a future Kanye West project. The song ends abruptly though and Kanye’s delivery is pathetic - they are clearly first-time laid-out lyrics. At one point the instrumental really kicks in and starts to envelop your ears like a grandiose movie soundtrack. As the title suggests, it features a surreal and colorful beat with an eerie melody. “Alien” is the first song to show potential. So far, it seemed fair for Yandhi to hit the bin. The song is repetitive and uninteresting. The aggression in the verse comes off especially strange because the vocals are unmixed, so he just sounds like he’s pissed off, screaming over a Skype call or something. Next is “The Storm,” featuring the late XXXTentacion in a mildly awkward and angry verse. The instrumental is pretty middling, though. A catchy flute melody plays throughout, a vaguely African pop sound maybe inspired by Kanye’s 2018 trip to record in Uganda. The lyrics celebrate plastic surgery, something relevant to Nicki Minaj herself and Kanye West’s current (and past) partner. The opening track, “New Body,” is a pop-rap song with appearances from frequent collaborators Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. I took this opportunity to dig into the brief tracklisting for Yandhi for insight into Kanye’s creation process and ask a question: What could have been? Most of the songs are unfinished, embodying a certain idea Kanye was reaching for but not quite realized. Yandhi is an especially interesting leak: It’s very much a rough draft. But after a song (or album) has been leaked, there’s no going back. Some argue they are harmful and can cost artists or labels financially, or cause artists to throw away tracks that had potential. There’s a lot of debate about the ethics of leaks. Since then, the title has become fairly synonymous with this collection of leaks. Some time in mid-August, several leaked versions of Yandhi began circulating - in particular, a 28-minute leak on YouTube that compiled nine demos and recordings, presumably from sessions for Yandhi. 23, but 2019 came around and Yandhi never did. West tells Swift about the song, informing her of the “I feel like Taylor might owe me sex,” lyric, and that he’s considering using the line “I made her famous,” but he never says he’s going to call her “that bitch,” which is what much of Swift’s public criticism of the track was about. Swift even expresses relief upon hearing the line, saying, “I thought it was going to be like, ‘That stupid, dumb bitch,’ but it’s not.The most recent unorthodox album rollout came in fall 2018 as Kanye teased Yandhi, a spiritual successor of sorts to his 2013 album Yeezus. Now, the new footage of the call has leaked, and it definitely indicates that Swift was in the right. She retreated from public life, returning a year later with the album Reputation. “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened,” she wrote at the time.Īs you may recall, it all set off a predictably awful, misogynistic response from the internet – Swift was branded a “snake” and faced some pretty relentless online abuse, the impacts of which are captured to some extent in recent Swift Netflix doco Miss Americana. West’s wife Kim Kardashian refuted that Swift had given clearance on the lyric during a phone call between West and Swift, posting an edited video of the conversation which made it appear that Swift had indeed approved of the line, and while Swift agreed the call had taken place, maintained that she was never made aware he was planning on referring to her as “that bitch.” Upon its release, Swift and her team condemned the track and denied her approval of it, saying she was unaware of the lyrics contained.
